DESCRIPTION:Be skilled to improve ear health in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities \n*While the online training and the practical skills workshops are free\, participants may incur travel\, accommodation and other costs associated with attending a practical skills workshop. \nAbout the EarTrain program\nEarTrain is a fully funded* online training program for primary health care professionals to identify and manage otitis media and other hearing conditions in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.\nThe program is delivered across Australia by TAFE NSW and is funded by the Australian Government.\nEarTrain is a Closing the Gap initiative available until 30 June 2024. \nPractical Skills Workshop \nEarTrain and the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) are running a series of 1-day workshops to provide practical skills in: * Tympanometry (under 6 months of age) * Screening Otoacoustic Emissions * Referral Pathways.\nYou will gain practical experience and confidence in carrying out these skills under the guidance of experienced audiologists\, with ongoing support after you’ve completed the workshop. This workshop is ideal for those requiring an introduction or refresh in these practical skills. Participants who attend this workshop and complete logbooks will receive a Certificate of Participation. \n

SUMMARY:Rural Emergency Advanced Clinical Training (REACT+) | Perth
DESCRIPTION:The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills\, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing\, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies\, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children\, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training\, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audio-visual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios. \nEligibility: All medical practitioners are welcome to register\, with priority given to currently practising rural and remote medical practitioners. \nLength: Two days – 8.00am-5.00pm. \nCost: $2\,500 (incl GST)\nThe cost of this workshop is subsidised by WA Country Health Service  \nAccreditation: \n12.75 Educational Activity\, 11.83 Performance Review\, 1 Additional CPD Requirements hours. 6 Anaesthetics (Practice Evaluation) and 6 Emergency Medicine MOPS hours with Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine for continuing professional development hours.\n16 Educational Activity and 9 Reviewing Performance hours with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for the 2023-2025 triennium.\n22.5 ACEM CPD hours \nThis workshop is eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program\, Anaesthetics and Emergency Medicine components. Please contact your college for eligibility prior to attending the course. \nThis education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service  \nPayment structure \nYou will receive an email link for payment in an event confirmation email. Payment is required within 10 days of receiving the email. If full payment is not received within 10 days\, your place will be offered to another delegate. \nCancellation policy \n\nApplicants who give notice of cancellation of four (4) weeks or more will receive a full refund of the workshop registration fee.\nApplicants who withdraw from the workshop on or 14 days prior will receive a 50% refund of the workshop registration fee.\nApplicants who fail to attend the workshop or who withdraw from the workshop less than 14 days of the workshop date are not eligible for a refund.
