SUMMARY:Asset Based Community Development
DESCRIPTION:Discover the power. Focus on your town’s assets\, capacity\, and opportunities instead of your town’s needs\, deficiencies\, and limitations.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLet’s discuss these three vital questions: \n• What can communities do that organisations cannot?\n• What can organisations do that communities cannot?\n• What can communities do with organisations that neither can do alone? \nThe relationship between organisations and communities is changing and this change is going to require a shift in behaviour from both officers in organisations and residents in communities. \nPeter will demonstrate why he believes that the traditional customer segmentation and needs analysis approaches are the way of the past\, and that a focus on assets and strengths is the future. \nThis workshop includes morning/afternoon tea and lunch. \nJoin us for the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) Masterclass with Peter Kenyon \nAbout the Facilitator\nPeter Kenyon – Bank of I.D.E.A.S. \nPeter refers to himself as a community enthusiast. He is motivated by the desire to help create caring\, healthy\, inclusive\, connected and enterprising communities\, where all community members feel ‘they matter\, belong and can contribute’\, and where communities discover and mobilise their strengths and transform themselves. \n\nFor more information and to register\, visit: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/abcd-asset-based-community-development-workshop-with-peter-kenyon-tickets-123581639009?utm_source=GEDC+Mailing+List&utm_campaign=f3e90d200d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_05_22_06_06_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_2b976d3cbb-f3e90d200d- \n\n\n\nThis workshop is a partnership between the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder\, RDA Goldfields-Esperance and Our Gems WA. \n
