DESCRIPTION:Adam Gregson\, an experienced Hepatology Nurse Practitioner based at Royal Perth Hospital\, is leading a new community-focussed Hepatitis B program working to empower and support community and primary care clinicians in WA.\nThe service aims to help clinicians safely manage and care for people living with Hepatitis B within their communities\, without the need for referral to a hospital.\nThe event will outline this new service and seek to explore ways to make this service work best for clinicians in the Goldfields. Adam will also provide a clinical overview of Hepatitis B\, its management and address common misconceptions.\nThe Hep B Hub WA is a state-wide clinical advice service\, covering all tertiary catchments\, that provides GPs and primary care nurse practitioners with online and in-person support\, education\, and advice to manage Hepatitis B. This includes diagnostics\, therapeutics\, referrals\, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) surveillance.
