We will discuss how DFV perpetrators commonly misuse social media and what can be done to support victim-survivors. No other recordings will be undertaken or are authorised. \n  \nPresented by: \nJo Colautti\, Technology Safety Specialist for WESNET \nJoanna Colautti is a Technology Safety Specialist for WESNET where she provides training and technical advice on technology safety issues to front-line service providers. Prior to joining WESNET Joanna worked as a domestic violence solicitor at Djirra (previously known as the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention Legal Service Victoria)\, civil law/family law solicitor at Legal Aid NSW\, domestic violence solicitor at Women’s Legal Service QLD and Early Intervention Family Law Solicitor/ Domestic Violence Solicitor at the Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre. Joanna has extensive experience working directly with clients who have experienced domestic and/ or family violence and assisting them with the legal issues that arise as a result of experiencing this abuse. Joanna provided face to face legal advice\, casework assistance and court advocacy in the legal areas of family law\, child protection\, domestic violence orders\, debt and victims compensation. \nAs a part of her legal roles Joanna provided regular training and community legal education to a variety of groups about various legal topics in relation to domestic violence. These groups included community members\, domestic violence frontline workers\, community service providers\, the police and various companies and corporations. Joanna ran a financial abuse project at the Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre called the ‘Walking Together’ project in which she assisted women who had experienced or were experiencing financial abuse move towards economic independence. As well as providing advocacy and casework assistance Joanna developed and delivered a resource and training package which highlighted the data of the project and the recommendations for credit providers when working with women who had experienced financial abuse. \nJoanna joined the WESNET team at the end of 2021 and since then has worked with various stakeholders including victim service providers\, telecommunication providers\, financial institutions\, corporations\, financial institutions\, technology companies and policymakers to improve safety and privacy for victims of intimate partner violence by assisting with policy development\, development of training\, delivering training and providing consultation.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop has been designed with a focus on GPs\, to diagnose patients with acute stress disorder\, post-traumatic stress disorder and other comorbidities. Evidence based guidelines will be used as the foundation to appropriately diagnose and identify treatment pathways including recommended referrals\, trauma focused psychological therapy and psychological first aid to help support their management of emergency service workers.
