DESCRIPTION:The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills\, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing\, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies\, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children\, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training\, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audio-visual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios. \nEligibility: All medical practitioners are welcome to register\, with priority given to currently practising rural and remote medical practitioners. \nLength: Two days – 8.00am-5.00pm. \nCost: $2\,500 (incl GST)\nThe cost of this workshop is subsidised by WA Country Health Service through the Better Medical Care Initiative. \nAccreditation: \n12.75 Educational Activity\, 11.83 Performance Review\, 1 Additional CPD Requirements hours. 6 Anaesthetics (Practice Evaluation) and 6 Emergency Medicine MOPS hours with Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine for continuing professional development hours.\n16 Educational Activity and 9 Reviewing Performance hours with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for the 2023-2025 triennium.\n22.5 ACEM CPD hours \nThis workshop is eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program\, Anaesthetics and Emergency Medicine components. Please contact your college for eligibility prior to attending the course. \nThis education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service through the Better Medical Care Initiative. \nPayment structure \nYou will receive an email link for payment in an event confirmation email. DESCRIPTION:The Rural and Remote Retrieval Weekend provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the management of medical emergencies in a remote environment with limitation in equipment\, personnel and resources. \n\nParticipants will learn in a supportive environment that encourages relevant\, practical and self-directed approach to learning.\nParticipants will develop their practical skills and professional abilities such as teaching\, teamwork\, leadership and dealing with stress and uncertainty.\nParticipants will have the opportunity to network with colleagues in a unique setting.\n\nMultidisciplinary health professionals with clinical roles or strong interest in emergency or acute health care are invited to attend the event\, including:\n\nMedical practitioners including general practitioners and doctors working in hospitals\, rural clinics and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services\nNurse practitioners\nEmergency department clinicians and critical care nurses\n\nThe weekend will be facilitated by a team of experienced emergency physicians and general practitioners who have worked in rural and remote regions.

DESCRIPTION:The two day Rural GP Obstetrics and Gynaecology Forum 2020 will include lectures\, small problem based discussions\, Sim and skills stations delivered concurrently over the weekend and facilitated by experienced specialists. The forum will also provide an opportunity to network with fellow specialists\, GP Obstetricians and colleagues. \nThere is a pre-forum workshop on Friday 14 February 2020. Attendance at this workshop is mandatory if participants wish to meet WACHS credentialing guidelines. The Pre-Forum Workshop will incur an additional cost of $280 or $350 if you require one night’s accommodation. \nThis Forum is part of the WA Country Health service and Rural Health West Resident Specialist and Procedural GP Education Series. \n\n\nThe Rural Obstetrics and Gynaecology Forum is open to:\n\n\n\nGP Obstetricians\nObstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists\nGP Registrars with Advanced or Basic DRANZCOG
