Health Workforce Scholarship Program – now open!
Applications for the applications for the Health Workforce Scholarship Program are now open. Applications will be accepted from March 25th 2020 to 24th April 2020.
The Health Workforce Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Health, administered in Western Australia by Rural Health West. The program provides scholarships and bursaries to help health professionals in rural and remote Australia retain and enhance their skills, capacity and scope of practice.
Rural medical, nursing, midwifery, dentistry and allied health professionals, including Aboriginal health practitioners can apply for funding towards:
- Undertaking further postgraduate study.
- Development and upskilling courses.
- One-off payments to cover the cost of training or course fees and/or to cover or partially cover some training-related expenses such as travel, where appropriate.
At this time, applications for online professional development and training courses will be given priority. Late or incomplete applications will not be assessed.
