Asist – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training – 2 day Workshop

ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid founded on the principle that everyone can make a difference in preventing suicide. ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop -This workshop is for anyone aged 18 and older who wants to develop the skills to intervene and help save a life from suicide. While ASIST is designed for professionals and community members alike, this workshop may not be appropriate for those who are grieving or have been recently impacted by suicide. We ask that you carefully consider if this training is suitable for you, at this point in time.
