COVID-19 BBV and STI Sector Briefing
ASHM has been closely monitoring and considering the potential impact of COVID-19 on our staff and stakeholders. We also appreciate the additional strain being felt by the healthcare sector at all levels and have been focused on how to support our colleagues in our event planning and with the information we provide.
With that in mind, ASHM is pleased to invite you to a webinar briefing on COVID-19, being held jointly with AFAO and Hepatitis Australia.
The briefing will be held on Thursday 19th March 2020 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm AEDT via Zoom (3pm-4pm Perth time).
The purpose of the briefing is to provide the most up to date information on COVID-19 from scientific, clinical, and public health perspectives. In particular, we will be focusing on what COVID-19 means for our communities.
We will be joined by:
- Professor Sharon Lewin: Infectious Diseases Physician and Director, The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity
- Mr Kevin Marriott: Acting CEO, Director of Programs and Communications Manager, Hepatitis Australia
- A/Professor Edwina Wright: Infectious Diseases Physician, Clinical Researcher at the Alfred Hospital and the Burnet Institute
- Professor Andrew Grulich: Program Head, HIV Epidemiology and Prevention Program, The Kirby Institute
The briefing is primarily for staff from BBV and STI organisations working with communities. Please feel free to share this invitation with others.
