Webinar: Electronic Prescribing update for Dispensers

The Australian Digital Health Agency is pleased to be hosting an introductory information session on electronic prescribing on Tuesday, 28 April (6:30 – 8:00pm AEST). Electronic prescribing provides an option for prescribers and their patients to have a digital prescription as an alternative to a paper prescription. The session will also address the fast track electronic prescribing initiative as well as image-based prescribing announced as part of the COVID-19 national health plan.

What we will be covered?

• Overview of electronic prescribing including benefits for consumers and providers;
• How it will work and practical advice about how healthcare providers can prepare for the use of electronic prescribing in routine practice;
• Update on when electronic prescribing functionality may be available (including reference to the COVID-19 national health plan to fast track the implementation of electronic prescribing under the new telehealth measure);
• Update on community campaign and education; and
• Opportunity for Q&A
