  • ARC Advanced Life Support 2 | WACHS Medical Education Unit

    An Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) accredited course, this two day program aims to teach the theory and practical skills to effectively manage cardio/respiratory arrest, peri-arrest situations and special circumstances, and to prepare senior members of a multidisciplinary team to treat the patient until transfer to a critical care area if possible. The course focuses on achieving advanced resuscitation competencies and is also designed to develop leadership and team skills in managing such emergencies.

    Pharmaceutical Society of Australia presents an Antimicrobial Stewardship Facilitated workshop Antimicrobial resistance is a one of the greatest threats to human health. Pharmacists, as medicines experts, have a role in antimicrobial stewardship in all areas of practice. There is also a critical responsibility of pharmacists to educate other health care professionals on the use of antimicrobials. This session aims to educate pharmacists on this issue and help them feel confident referring to guidelines and promoting antimicrobial stewardship strategies.
