Dr Assia Abibsi, Podiatrist
The Goldfields community is lucky enough to have a new podiatry clinic open in the region.
Local podiatrist Assia has always had vision to provide premium podiatry services to the region and this year has been able to make her vision come to life opening Excellence Podiatrique.
Assia visited Kalgoorlie in February 2021 and she just loved it and decided to make it her home. She likes the life balance between Kalgoorlie-Esperance and Kalgoorlie-Perth.
Assia has 10 years of clinical podiatry experience in both private and hospital settings. She studied/worked in the USA, Canada (Ontario), Canada (Quebec) and Western Australia. She believes that podiatrists are highly trained health professionals that should be the first point of call for anyone with foot and ankle pathology. She has been a mentor to numerous university, TAFE students and loves to be involved in podiatry education.
Assia’s training allows her to link general health with foot/ankle health. She practices in all areas of podiatry, with special interests in office-based surgical procedures, biomechanics, medical imaging (x-rays and ultrasound), and diabetes risk management. Assia is a firm believer in multidisciplinary team care, and regularly involves and consults with other health professionals such as your GP, exercise physiologist, physiotherapist, chiropractor, or nutritionist.
